  • Finished off and printed off third revision of transformer drawing - 0.5 hour
  • Input cable length data into computer model for two stations (White City, West Souris) - 1 hour
  • Worked on gathering cable data based on new drawings for the Sarnia, Bethune, Edmonton, Milden & Cromer stations - 3 hours
  • Administrative - printing off drawings, installing and troubleshooting programs (MathCAD, SKM Powertools for Windows) - 3.5 hours

Day 19
  • Finished first revision of Transformer drawing in AutoCAD - 1 hour
  • Worked on second and third revision of drawing - 4 hours
  • Administrative stuff - installing printers, paper, timesheets, etc. - 3 hours

Day 18
  • Continued to draft the drawings of the transformer - 5 hours
  • Checked a request sheet for drawings for various Enbridge stations - 1 hour
  • Updated the drawing of the control panel electrical diagram - 1 hour
  • Admin - 1 hour

Day 17
  • AutoCAD Training - 3 hours
  • Printed off new drawings for the EnBridge Milden Station, and gathered new cable data from the drawings - 3 hours
  • Began to draft the transformer drawings we had made into AutoCAD - 2 hours

Day 16
  • Administrative upkeepings - 0.5 hour
  • Preparation for trip to site - 0.5 hour
  • Work on drawings that needed to be re-requested - .5 hour
  • Accompanied Jeff to visit PowerTran to work on three jobs. One was confirmed as near complete, another we spent 3 hours confiming connections of electrical components in a control cabinet, and another 5 hours was spent drawing out and getting the various dimensions for a transformer and it's components.

I took Friday, July 7, 2006 off to help with my good friends' wedding.

  • Updated administrative timesheets and journal - 0.5 hour
  • Marked up AutoCAD Drawings according to Jeff's specifications for two PowerTran jobs - 8 hours

  • Finished going through West Souris drawings - 0.5 hours
  • Worked on printing out new drawings, and figuring out cable lengths for the Craik Station - 3.5 hours
  • More formal AutoCAD Training - 3 hours

  • AutoCAD Training - 4 hours
  • Spent time with Lance (principal engineer) and Vince (President) learning about heating dynamics of motors, especially in start mode. - 1 hour
  • Worked on printing out new drawings, and figuring out cable lengths for the West Souris Station - 3 hours
